We are a dynamic research group in the Department of Quantum Nanoscience (QN) at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). Our lab explores how electron spin, magnetism, and quantum transport can be controlled in two-dimensional materials and van der Waals heterostructures.
Our research focuses on magnetic graphene, proximity-induced spin-orbit and exchange interactions, topological spin transport, and hybrid quantum devices. By combining advanced nanofabrication, low-temperature quantum transport, and engineered magnetic interfaces, we aim to develop new building blocks for quantum spintronic circuits and future quantum technologies.
The QuSpin Lab is currently being established at the QN department in the Faculty of Applied Sciences. We combine device fabrication, cryogenic measurements, and quantum transport experiments to study spin-dependent phenomena in graphene-based and magnetic van der Waals heterostructures.
We are interested in hearing from motivated students and researchers who would like to work on quantum spintronics, two-dimensional materials, and low-temperature quantum transport. Please contact t.s.ghiasi@tudelft.nl, if you are passionate about Master’s, PhD or Postdoc position at the QuSpin lab. (more info)
